March 17: Procrastination ~ Does it affect your fate?
April 18, 2008 by chantellesthoughts
Procrastination plays a large part in many peoples lives. It may play a part in everyones life, but the extent is different for everyone. Myself I tend to procrastinate lots. It is usually when I shouldn’t be. For example, I will sometimes leave studying for the last minute, and lots of times I leave too long and then just don’t do it! At the age and state I am in life, I should be Procrastinating about the things I am doing instead of studying!
Procrastination really could affect your fate. Maybe not in a large affect, but it could somehow. Affecting your fate could mean, but your life holds after highschool. If you were to always procrastinate about studying and always get failing or close to failing marks, that could affect your future big time! It could affect what school you go to, what course you go into, or even if you are eligible to graduate! Procrastination can be scary! I guess from the statement i made earlier, Procrastination can affect your fate alot! http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/life_nz/112072

Chantelle,
Wow.. You have the same video I have on my blog.. don’t you love YouTube? haha. Also the exact same example I used in my paragraphs.. I guess we both can relate to the same thing. I agree with you that procrastination can affect your fate a lot. I can also relate to your paragraph because I happen to procrastinate a lot as well. Perhaps maybe to much. Read your next blog entry to read another comment from me!
Chantel.
Hey, Chantelle. Good examples! I definitely agree when you say that procrastination can affect your fate. Procrastination causes huge problems! I found it ironic when you said you should be procrastinating about the things you are doing instead of studying. I can totally relate to this. Human nature is really odd; I know that I should be studying and not doing something else, but I just keep telling myself I can always do it later. The problem being that for me later often doesn’t come. However, I do believe that procrastination in very small doses isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It causes you think twice and choose the wiser decision. This can be a good thing for people who make rash decisions. However, there does come a time when procrastination becomes unhealthy and therefore affects fate!
Hey Chantelle. Again you have really good points! I found it ironic how you talked about how you should be procrastinating about the stuff you’re doing when you should be studying because it’s so true. I usually discover myself procrastinating, about studying in particular, only to discover that time has ran out. Such a thing has happened to me a lot in the horse world. I wait until the last minute to work with one of my horses and of course that will be the moment that they decide not to cooperate, so I end up with a large problem on my hands! You’re right about how you said procrastination affects fate a lot. Depending on where you want to go in life, school can be important and procrastination will affect where you go. Procrastination can be a huge problem, not just for a few individuals like Hamlet, but for everyone.
